Professional Development in the Liberal Arts and Sciences
The Office of Personal and Career Development is committed to contributing to every student’s preparation for life after college in competitive professional environments.
We want Wake Forest students to be successful both academically and professionally. Our students thrive in a competitive environment due in part to the rigors of academia afforded by a liberal arts education. We help students to articulate how the content and skills learned in the classroom and extracurricular activities may apply to their chosen post-Wake Forest life. Wake Forest prepares students to be competent, confident, and competitive in work and life beyond Wake Forest.
Through curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular experiences and offerings by departments within the College, students develop the core competencies necessary for success in post-graduate life and work, including communication, personal and professional management, critical thinking and problem-solving, and technical skills.
These experiences include:
» Academic Courses offered through College departments
» Educational Workshops
» Experiential Activities
» Individualized Counseling
» Online Education and Training
